Sector Sale - why more expensive in UK?
« on: November 27, 2017, 03:16:00 AM »
Hi, I just discovered via discchord that Sector is on sale right now for $4.99, so I headed over to the (UK) app store on my ipad, only to discover the app costs £5.99 there.
Why is it more expensive for UK users?
If I do a direct currency conversion from the USD price to the GBP price I would pay something like £3.70 for the app, so it makes no sense that it is MORE expensive in the UK.

p.s. bought AUM as art of the weekend sales - it is FANTASTIC!

As a developer, we only decide a "tier" which is then translated to different prices in different countries via Apple's "price matrix". We have no control of the prices for individual countries. Apple sometimes updates this matrix and adjusts prices because of changes on the currency market, taxes, etc.
