Trim to specified sample length.

Hi Jonatan,

How possible would it be to specify the number of sample points in the output of the Trim function? I could then set the startpoint of the trimmed section and the endpoint would track that, X number of samples later. This would allow me to generate timbre files for Animoog, or wavetables for apps that require them to be a certain number of samples in length (ok, mainly timbres for Animoog).
I think they have to be mono, 16 bit and 41kHz, but that’s not hard to ensure, is it?

Cheers,
PaulB

That's not currently possible, sorry!

Ensuring 16 bit, 44.1kHz is no problem (use the Convert tool). I hope 41kHz was a typo :)

Brain fart most likely.

I really meant ‘How possible would it be to implement that feature?’. I realise the current version doesn’t do it. :)

Thanks for replying.

Cheers,
Paul.

I see :) That's possible in theory to implement, of course. I will consider it for future updates, but I must say there's a lot of other stuff higher up on the list! (For example writing a really good stand-alone audiofile wave editor app)

Thanks for considering it.
